What is the history of the CPPA?
In 2001, my wife Joyce and I, as novice pool players, felt God’s call to use pool/billiards for ministry. We founded the CPPA in 2002. After a quieter period, 2025 marks a reviving of CPPA, with over 60 new members already in 2025 and a renewed focus on our pool community.

What are the CPPA’s goals for 2025?
With a pastor’s heart, we aim to:

· Expand our membership to welcome more believers into our family.

· Enhance our website with practical Bible devotions and resources to nurture faith.

· Host events that foster fellowship and outreach, sharing the Gospel in the billiards community.

· Pursuing 501(c)(3) nonprofit status to strengthen our ministry’s impact.

· Help members to grow in faith and live as witnesses for Christ in pool halls worldwide.

What is The Competitor’s Creed?
Adapted from the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The Competitor’s Creed guides members to play with integrity, honor, and love, reflecting Christ in every interaction. It inspires us to be shepherds in the pool community, caring for others through our actions.

We encourage members to share their faith naturally and respectfully, without being intrusive. This can include demonstrating good sportsmanship, wearing Christian apparel like shirts or badges, distributing literature, offering kind words, or praying for others. We believe in asking the Lord to open doors for conversations about Christ, allowing us to share His love genuinely and relationally.

What impact has the CPPA made?
Our 560+ members form a family that nurtures spiritual growth, fellowship and evangelism.

Does the CPPA collaborate with other ministries?
Yes, we partner with Cues4Christ and Gospel Trick Shot to amplify our mission. These collaborations, rooted in our shared commitment to Christ, enhance our efforts to serve the billiards community.
